Data we collect
- Identity and contact details you provide in forms or email (name, email, message content, consultation preference)
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited when analytics cookies are accepted
- Correspondence records if you telephone or write to us
We do not ask for payment card numbers, national insurance numbers, or full bank credentials through this website.
Purposes and lawful bases
- Responding to enquiries — legitimate interests and, where you initiate contact, steps prior to a contract
- Delivering agreed advisory work — performance of a contract
- Improving the website with aggregated analytics — consent where required
- Meeting legal obligations — legal obligation
Retention
Enquiry messages that do not become clients are kept for up to twenty-four months and then deleted or anonymised. Engagement files are retained for seven years after the engagement ends to meet professional record-keeping expectations. Analytics data, when collected, is retained according to the analytics provider’s configuration, typically fourteen months or less.
Sharing
We use service providers who host email or website infrastructure under contracts that require appropriate security. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
International transfers
If a provider stores data outside the United Kingdom, we ensure an appropriate transfer mechanism is in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability where applicable, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
